Directions

Volcano Ranch is located in west central Nicaragua, in the town of Diria.  The ranch sits on the crater rim of Laguna de Apoyo, the largest volcanic crater lake in Central America.  The ranch is 45 minutes from the international airport in Managua,  20 minutes from the city of Granada and 10 minutes from the town of Masaya.  Volcano Ranch is approximately 3 km. from the overlook at Catarina.

You will be traveling the road between Catarina and Guanacaste to reach the turn off in Diria.  At kilometer marker 43.5, next to the dark blue police station building, turn into the town of Diria.  Follow this road up a short hill, turning left at the cemetery entrance. One more block will take you to the central plaza.  Turn left at fountain. The road from plaza fountain will be paving stones for 1/2 km. and then the pavement stops.  Continue driving along the dirt road 1 km. more, until you see the Volcano Ranch entrance.
